Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 October 2026
This policy explains what information Ask The Card collects when you use askthecard.com, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. "We" and "us" means Ask The Card. "You" means anyone who visits the site or gets a reading.
What we collect
Information you give us. To create your personal tarot reading, we may ask for:
- Your first name
- Your email address
- Your birth date
- Whether you are a woman or a man, and who you are looking for (optional)
- A partner's first name, if you choose to share it
- The tarot cards you draw
Order information. When you buy a reading, ClickBank handles the payment. ClickBank shares order details with us, such as your name, email, what you bought and your order number. We never see or store your full card or bank details.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, we and our service providers collect basic technical details. This includes your browser and device type, the pages you visit, how you move around a page, and the link or ad that brought you here. Your IP address is turned into a scrambled code before we store it, so we do not keep the address itself.
Why we collect it
We use your information to:
- Create and deliver your personal reading
- Send you your reading and related emails
- Send you other tarot readings and offers by email, which you can stop at any time
- Help with your order and answer your questions
- See which pages and ads work, and fix things that do not
- Stop spam and misuse of the site
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers who help us run the site. Each one uses it only to do its job for us.
- ClickBank is the retailer for all our products. It takes payments, handles billing and processes refunds. ClickBank has its own privacy policy at clickbank.com.
- AWeber stores our email list and sends our emails.
- Microsoft Clarity shows us how people use our pages, through heatmaps and anonymous session recordings.
- ClickMagick tracks which links and ads people click, so we know where visitors come from and whether a visit led to a sale.
- Our hosting and security providers keep the site online and protect it from attacks.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
Cookies and similar tools
The site uses cookies and your browser's local storage. These help the site remember where you are in a reading, so you do not lose your cards if you refresh the page. Microsoft Clarity and ClickMagick also use cookies to measure visits and clicks.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site, such as saving your reading in progress, may not work properly if you do.
How long we keep it
We keep your reading details for as long as we need them to deliver your reading and any readings you buy later. We keep order records as long as the law requires for tax and accounting. If you unsubscribe from emails, we stop sending them, but we may keep a record that you unsubscribed so we do not email you again by mistake.
When we no longer need your information, we delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including the UK, the European Union and California, you have rights over your personal information. You can ask us to:
- Tell you what information we hold about you
- Give you a copy of it
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete it
- Stop using it for marketing
To unsubscribe from emails, click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we send.
For any other request, email us or reply to any email we have sent you. We will reply within 30 days. We may need to confirm it is you before we act. We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights.
If you are in the UK or EU and you are not happy with how we handle your request, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Keeping your information safe
We store your information on secure servers and limit who can access it. No website can promise perfect security, but we take sensible steps to protect what you share with us.
International transfers
Our service providers may store information in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires it, we rely on standard safeguards for these transfers.
Children
Ask The Card is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us their details, reply to any email we have sent you, or contact ClickBank at clkbank.com, and we will delete them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. If the change is important, we may also let you know by email.
